Louise has worked in architectural conservation since 1996
in both public and private practice.
She has prepared projects relating to the strategic management and protection of the built heritage and its evaluation at international, national and local level, both individually and in collaboration with other consultants. Her clients include local authorities, LEADER, the Heritage Council, the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the Department of Agriculture.
Louise holds an MA in Historic Landscape Studies (with Distinction) from the University of York, an MPhil from University College Cork, and a BA in the History of Art with Spanish from Trinity College Dublin. She continues to research in these areas and lectures on the Master in Planning Degree in UCC.
Prior to working as a consultant, she gained significant experience working as one of the first architectural conservation officers in Ireland for one of its largest planning authorities involving policy, designation, planning control and grant administration.
